For my second project of the month I have made a Christmas card using Tim Holtz - 'Scribbly Christmas' stamp set and Kraft Core card stock. I was inspired by some cards I saw that Richele Christensen made (link below).
I started with some watercolour card. I added a little shabby shutters distress ink to my craft mat, added a little water and swept my card through it. I then added some snowflakes and text through 2 layering stencils - 'Snowflakes' and 'Christmas'.
Next I stamped my tree in olive archival ink and embossed with clear powder before adding colour with ' Pine Needles' distress ink.
The base for my card was cut using the postage stamp bigz die and some Kraft Core cardstock. Careful placement of the card allows the die to be used to create a card base. Richele explains this better than me - here!
I sanded it a little and added some ink around the edges. I finished my card with a little star and my Christmas greeting. As it is an unusual sized card I also took some paper and folded an envelope to fit.
See you next time
