Window box card

If you haven't seen the Tim Holtz Window box Bigz die then it is most definitely worth taking a look. A friend told me recently that she doesn't bother looking at Tim Holtz dies because she doesn't like vintage, distressed or shabby styles. Whoa! These dies lend themselves to be used for ANY style of crafting so if you've been ignoring them it's time to take a peek!

I started off by staining some thin card and then cutting and painting several 'wall' strips using Tim's Brick wall strip die.

Once the window and a pediment were cut out I left the actual window untreated but painted the flower box and pediment with distress paint. The window blinds are just a strip of red card put through a crimper.

I finished off by tucking a few leaf branches behind the flower box and adding a bird. Who said everything has to be vintage or distressed, lol?

We hope you're having a crafty week,

  1. Delicious use of the window die... that slatted blind is so clever!
