Valentine Bunting

I am sharing some bunting I made for my conservatory, we had a Murder Mystery Party based around a Valentine theme and I needed some decorations, what better than to use some of my supplies and make some myself.

I designed two pennants and made 6 of each.

My starting point was the Sizzix Banners Framelits and I cut the largest die out of music paper (I collect old music scores from charity shops), it is 8 x 12 cm.

Then I set about cutting and making the red and kraft pennants to give me a larger size to back them all. The kraft pennants were put through the Regal Flourish embossing folder twice to cover it all. I was very careful not to get a big line right through the middle.

Each piece was distressed and inked along the edges - I nearly always use Walnut Stain for this process.

I die-cut the cupids, hearts and wings from a bright red paper from my supplies which has some texture already on it and these have all be edged/covered with the same distress ink. I used a different red paper for the borders. The sentiments are Tim's Simple Sayings and I stamped and cut them from scraps of the kraft card left from making the pennants.

This is what they looked like once I had put all the elements together.....

.... and here is the complete banner in place.

Have fun making your own Valentine projects and I will see you again on Friday with a simple little Valentine card.

xx
