Quick but effective

Good morning everyone!
Sometimes we want to make a handmade card to give to someone dear to us but struggle to find the time to do so, simply because life just gets in the way! Today’s post is an example of such an occasion – a card that is quick to make but effective…

Starting with a square of white card and a square of paper from Tim's Wallflowers paper stack, both edged with Mowed lawn DI:

Numbers from Tim's Little labels stamp set have been stamped down one side and a piece of matching green ric-rac ribbon to the other:

The base:

A stem of leaves from Tim's Garden greens die cut from green card, edged with the DI and then detail drawn in with a white pen:

I had some plain white paper roses in my flower box so they came out and were given a spray with Lemon zest and Tangerine dream Dylusons ink sprays. I added a butterfly rub-on from Tim's Botanical remnant rubs set:

The flowers, leaves and butterfly:

All done:

This card was put together in minutes but I think it still has the 'handmade' charm.

Have a great and crafty week everyone, thanks for stopping by.
