Post it Note Panache

Hello Everyone!
Jennie here and today I am sharing a little mini book
with you using a new die from Brenda Walton.

As soon as I saw the new Post It Notepad Cover die I thought mini-books!
and I couldn't wait to give it a go!
Here are the steps:

First of all I cut two covers in Coaster Board
and then cut the top off one of them.

I used the die to cut my papers to cover
the boards and stuck these down well with a good
sticky glue and using the brayer around the edges.

Whilst the boards were drying I cut some pages for the
inside (4.5" x 3") and scored 1/2" at the top as a spine.

I blended some Vintage Photo Distress Ink around the
edges of the boards and then stuck the two pieces
together using a very tacky glue.

The die includes scored lines and it was easy enough
to use a bone folder to fold the book, creating
two spines.

I created a little inner book by sticking my pages
together at the scored edge and then trimmed
it with a little piece of blue card.

Then it was down to having fun decorating!!
I still have quite a lot of little bits and pieces from
my 8" x 8" Graphic 45 Botanical Tea Pad and
this book is just perfect for using them up!

I added a magnet to the top flap as it is always nice
when a book "snaps" together.

More scraps!

You can see a little creasing at the fold here -
I think my coaster board was a little thick.

And here you can see the inner book stuck
inside the covers.

I am not sure what I will use this for yet, but it
will make a lovely little present even as it is.

You can of course make a Post It Notepad Cover with the die as well!!!!

Thank you for visiting today.

Jennie x
