On feathered wing

Well this time I have a tag to share and have gone all soft and gentle! So here it is :

My new distress paints had arrived and I had these gorgeous stamps for my birthday so..it was time to play. I started by applying some embossing paste through the gorgeous new doily stencil...(the detail on this is amazing!)

and then smooshed some of the new (and very yummy ...I might add...), tumbled glass distress paint and also old paper and created a background for my tag....I have to say I still LOVE these yummy Distress paints!

Normally I add texture to three places..but I knew I wanted to stamp my nest on the bottom left so didn't apply here for that reason....yes I know I planned a head! ( that doesn't happen often!).
Now for adding some more stampy layers to the background..I added stamped flourishes...my favourite Tim one using picket fence distress stain and also some fab text (from apothecary set..its fab!) to the background using weathered wood. These just create a subtle bit of detail...
Now for the stars of the show..I inked the nest in watering can archival ink and stamped...I also inked only my birds legs and stamped those ( this way they were part of the background...meaning I didn't have to cut them out ...and also I could give the birds' body more dimension).

I added some glossy accents to the blossom around nest and sprinkled with rock candy distress glitter. then I made some teeny tiny eggs..and coloured. the birds were stamped in watering can archival and added to tag with glue gel to create a bit of dimension. I also added a fab hash tag stamp.....breathe.
I completed the tag with some alpha parts coloured with tumbled glass distress paint....

I also tested out my Distress spritzer by lightly adding tumbled glass...wow am loving the soft effect...need to play more!
and some seam binding dyed and scrunched...
Well hope you find time to breathe today...and that you have enjoyed my make.
