Bloomin' beautiful garden

June is a summer month and I thought I'd celebrate my favourite season by making page in my journal that you could easily turn into a card, tag or anything you fancy!
Start by misting a Dylusions spray for the background. I chose green because I wanted a summer feel but you could use any colour!
Then I alternated two of the grass stamps from JoFy for PaperArtsy and then coloured them using the same ink as the background in a water pen.
Then I stamped a variety of the flower stamps onto the page and the flower heads on a piece of card. I coloured the flower heads in with pencil crayons, but you could use any medium you choose! I stamp the flower heads on to the page so that you get all the squiggly lines on the edge of the stamp that you will cut out! You don't lose any detail then!
I cut the flower heads out and added them to the page. I also decided to add a sentiment and a butterfly!
As a final touch I drew a line around the outside of the page.
I hope that you can see how this could be used in a variety of other ways! Thank you, as always for popping by - hope to see you again soon!

  1. Gorgeous page, Gabrielle, against that fab green background. Love how your drawn border gives it a finished feel to the page - must try and remember to do that next time I work in my journal!
