Easter tag with Tim Holtz crazy bird

Hello Everybody,
It's Monika here with my second post.
This time I have brought you an Easter tag.
This:

And here is my step by step tutorial.

1. I cut out a bigger tag with Sizzix Framelits Tag die by Paula Pacual (658611) from kraft paper.

2. I stamped Tim Holtz background stamp on white cardstock with using Misti Stamping Tool.

3. I covered the stamped image with Ranger Clear embossing powder.

4. I put back the excess to the jar.

5. I heated the embossing powder on the stamped image.

6. I made it twice.

7. I cut out two one size smaller tags from my stamped cardstocks.

8. I inked the edges with Ranger Distress Gathered Twigs and glued the smaller tags on the big one (both sides).

9. I inked with green Distress inks a white watercolour paper and cut out the greens.

10. I placed and glued them on the tag.

11. I stamped the crazy bird and the bunny ears onto a watercolour paper with black Ranger Arcival ink.

12. I coloured them with watercolour technique using Ranger Distress markers.

13. I prepared many layered flowers a few months ago but I didn't use them, so I could just take three form my stash.

14. I placed and glued all the elements on the tag.

Globe cards

Hi  -  It's Brenda here today with some cards I needed to make fairly quickly for my shop space.

I began by making a few dip and dry backgrounds using distress inks (see product list below) ....

.... and also using some coredinations papers I die cut the globe thinlits die, keeping the backgrounds and not just the globe.

I sanded the coredinations globes leaving one as it was and inking the other to create different effects ......

.... and then put them together in different combinations to produce some variety.

It was a great way to get several made at the same time and yet all looking different, especially by adding different words as well.

I hope you enjoy using the globe die as much as I do.

Take care.

Thin Ice

It's my pleasure to have a project featured today. I wanted to create a really interestingly textured background and this is what I came up with!
I started by layering Black Dress and then Snowflake paints on my page using a brayer. I didn't dry in between the two colours and you naturally get this 'blue' shade! Clever 'eh?! I use quite a small amount of paint (a little goes a long way) and I like to see the layers peep through so I didn't worry about covering the page fully.
I added Granny Smith paint through a leafy stencil (that I used upside down). Since writing this post I've realised this stencil is supposed to be like tyre tracks but to me it looks like leaves on a vine...! I aded a tiled floor and repositioned the stencil to draw white pen highlights.
I used a few Elenazinski stamps (border, chap and spider, circle in background) to make up the background and I stamped the chap on paper, coloured him in and then added him to the page. The final flourishes was to add a Dylusions stencil and some Gold highlights.
Thank you as always for popping by!

Live Your Dream and Farewell

Hello and welcome to my last creative share here at Country View Crafts Projects.

I have had a wonderful time sharing techniques and designs over the last few years but I feel the time has come to move on in order to seek new challenges and adventures.  Thank you all for your lovely comments and your support which I have greatly appreciated.

And so what better sentiment could I use for this last project than

LIVE YOUR DREAM WITH PASSION

as I have and hopefully will continue to do so!

I started with cream cardstock which I die cut using the Mixed Media framelit and then stamped with Antique Linen and a mesh stamp to give it a bit of texture. A piece of lace covers a piece of the die which didn't cut very well due to my very old plates which need renewing!

I gathered a few of my favourite embellishments ...
Handmade flowers using the Tattered Florals Die
Distress inked ribbon
Wrinkle Free Distress Leaf

and layered them onto my card.

All very much me!

Thank you again for all your wonderful support and who knows where the next adventure will lead but I hope to see you there too!

Zinski Playing Cards

Hello! Today I'm sharing some playing cards I made with my Elenazinski stamps. You might need a cuppa, there are a few steps!
I started by covering four flash cards with thin layer of Snowflake paint using a brayer. You can use Gesso for this too if you prefer.
Then I added a thin layer of Pixie Dust (fab name!)
I added Bora Bora through a stencil
Then I popped Yellow Submarine through a second stencil. This is the background step completed!
The next step is to make the characters. I stamped two of each character on the paper. The stamps I used are found later in this post.
Then I coloured them in with pencils -  I used the same colour scheme as the background, but just brighter than the background so they 'pop'. You'll see that I didn't colour the whole picture - that's because on playing cards you just see the heads and shoulders of each character.
To make sure I captured the extra details on some of the stamps I stamped the character on the card first. So on this card I didn't have to cut out the antenna! I masked the bottom half of the card with a post it note to protect it and then repositioned it when I flipped the card around.
For the symbols in the corners I used a heart stencil  and then for the spade symbol I turned the heart stencil upside down and then drew in the base. I used a diamond stencil but for the clubs I needed another solution! My daughter suggested using the hole in the top of the stencil and drawing the bottom on. It worked really well! For the letters I used an alphabet stencil.
The finished cards look like this:
Jack - I used this stamp
Queen - I used this stamp
King - I used this stamp
Ace - I used this stamp. You may have noticed I coloured two of these in - but I realised that the ace only has one image on it so I had to colour his feet in!
I hope you like these playing cards! Thank you, as always, for popping by.
