So I started by coating the box in frayed burlap distress paint, one of my much loved colours . I then gave it a good coat of PaperArtsy crackle glaze and when dry a coat of nougat fresco paint.
The firstly to decorate the side of the box I cut a strip of card from the vintage lace strip die and edged with vintage photo ink and then coated in my super favourite rock candy distress glitter .
For the top I cut the tattered poinsettia die and inked the edges and edged with the same glitter adding ideaology washer and pearl for the centre.
So there you have a fairly simple decorated gift box.
keep those fingers inky!

ReplyDeletestunning - love this to bits xx
ReplyDeleteWow! This looks so effective. I love the colour scheme and the effect of the Rock Candy DG. I don't have a poinsettia die, but I reckon this would also look nice with a Tattered Floral to top it. A lovely make. Julie Ann xx
