Quick Make Thank You Cards

Today I am sharing some quick make Thank You cards which are always handy to have in your card box at this time of the year.

With the cost of postage so high at the moment I am turning more and more to single layer stamping.  I am still a beginner at this but you can create some wonderful effects quite simply using the Sissix/Hero Arts Stamp and Die Cut sets.

I cut some 4" x 4" card blanks and some 3 1/2" x 3 1/2" squares on smooth card for the stamping.  I also cut a frame to cover these smaller  squares with an aperture measuring 2 1/2" x 2 1/2".  (Hope you are with me so far!)

Using Black Arcival Ink I stamped the flowers from the set onto the smooth cream card and then cut a mask using the die. Now this is the really easy quick bit - no fussy cutting and wondering whether your mask will fit!  I have used some sticky masking paper for my mask, but Post It Notes are very good too.

I placed the frame over the stamped and masked card and sponged Crushed Olive Distress Ink within the aperture space and then overstamped with a text stamp to create some texture, again with Crushed Olive.  You need to hold the frame in place with some masking tape (it has slipped a bit here when I took the photograph!).

Then when you take away the frame and peel off the mask your layered stamping is all in place.  All you need to add is a small sentiment if you wish.

I got quite a production run going with different colours of ink and decided to mount some of them onto    coloured card for a slightly different effect.  An old corner punch added some interest to the corners too.

Thanks for visiting today and I hope all your preparations are going well.  Just 7 more sleeps!!!!
