Today it's a birhday card using Tim's new 'Menagerie' papers and lots of his dies...
Having chosen the paper I wanted to use it got a watery wash of Picket fence Distress paint to shabby it down a tad. Both the paper and the kraft card background got a thin edging of Black soot Distress ink:
I had an idea of what I wanted to put together on the card so these items were cut out, edged and glued together. The tape measure was inked and edged too:
Remnant rubs are soooo useful - the word 'imagination' was used for the label which was attached with some vintage brads. The rest of the die cuts are starting to be assembled:
Followed by the finishing touches:
The complete card:
Have a great weekend everyone and thanks for stopping by!

I love all the elements you have used for this card Chris and the fabulous grungy distressed style. Xx
ReplyDeleteThe backing paper, toned down looks amazing and the rub on 'imagination' has the look of embossing. I love how you have incorporated so many dies in this wonderful card - especially that new lattice one. Anne x
