I started by adding blue and green Distress Inks directly to my page.
Then I misted water on it and tipped the page up and let the ink run (this is so much fun!)
Next I stamped the images directly on to the page - often I will stamp them on card, cut them out and then adhere over the top of the stamped image - as I started with a base of Distress Ink I knew that I could colour straight on top of the ink. Using more Distress Ink I added the pattern to the background around the stamped images.
The final flourishes were to colour the images in (I used Distress Markers) and to stamp and cut out clouds - adding the month to one!I hope you like my page and that you feel inspired to make a journal page for the month!
..but now I see the finished thing it;s gorgeous!
ReplyDeletethis is wonderful Gabrielle!
ReplyDeleteGreat page -- I am the least creative person you have ever met - so I really am thankful for your bit and pieces on how you did this. Why can I not think of these things!!

Why, absolutely, I have been inspired to make some art, after seeing your adorable and nicely done journal page. I think, I may work on watercolor paper and make a birthday card. Thank you for the inspiration. I always enjoy seeing everything you share with us.
