Flutter by, butterfly...

In all the preparation for Christmas I'm continuing the break from Christmas cards etc today with this butterfly tag...

You can use any background paper and colour scheme you like, I decided on a brown, cream and green palette. Having covered the tag, inked it and added some strips of scrap paper at the top I then used the beautiful Marianne Design butterfly die for my main theme. I cut it from kraft card, inked it and then decorated with clear gems...

You can use any stems, ferns or fine branches that you have in your stash (dies or die cuts), mine are highlighted with green glitter glue. I cut a doily with a punch and quartered it to use as a corner or the bottom of the tag then decorated it with clear gems...

You can use any floral punches or dies to make your flowers up. If you have no glitter gems you can use more of your glitter glue for the centres. Alternatively you might like to use pearls or buttons. The stems are mounted on the doily with the flowers on the top. These are then finished with American seam binding which has been lightly coloured with a distress ink pad.

Thanks for dropping by, have a fab week!
