Winter snowflake tag

Today I'm blogging a simple but effective winter tag using various dies...

To make the tag base I used distress stains and then dry-brushed white gesso over the top very sketchily when the stains were dry. I used Tim H's cobweb strip die and the Cheery Lynn steampunk clock die to create texture on the left of the tag. I 'tidied' them up by using a strip of thin striped ribbon down the edge...

I used pastel bakers twine through the tag loop, added a dove embellishment and the word 'snow' is made up of sticky cellophane letters...

Both of the mini snowflakes are made from Tim's mini snowflake rosettes strip die cut from plain white card with snowflake charms (any will do) glued to the top with metal glue. I joined the snowflakes with jump rings and chain...

Finally, I added a wishbone and a 'wish' charm. (NB: the wishbones can be pierced quite easily with a craft awl.)

Have a great weekend and thanks for stopping by.

  4. Love this one Chris! I'd never have thought of placing the metal snowflakes at an angle (and therefore allowing for charms to dangle!) - thank you for brilliant inspiration!
