Flora & fauna

Hello ! It’s Sue here and today I’m sharing a card I’ve made for my sister’s birthday.

I started with the background and used a stencil with Honey Dew Fresco Finish paint to create a grass border. I've used a stencil brush instead of cut 'n' dry foam as I find the paint doesn't leak under the stencil with the brush.

I then stamped the background using the Eclectica ELB04 set and used different Fresco Finish paints.  I also added some strips of Tim Holtz tissue tape from the Elements set.  I then painted over the whole background with Glue ‘n’ Seal to protect the card and tape from the paint in the next step.

I used a baby wipe and rubbed Tinned Peas and Limelight Fresco Finish paint over the opposite corners. I then used some Beach Hut Fresco Finish paint on the remaining 2 corners, again applying it with a baby wipe.

I then used one of the flower stamps from the ELB04 set and stamped it using Fern Green Archival ink stamping it twice onto white card, and then cut them out. I used the PaperArtsy Mini 44 and stamped it with the same colour Archival ink over the flowers.

I stamped the vine leaves and small individual leaves with Fresco Finish paint onto black card and cut them out.

The centre large flower was also stamped onto black card using Fresco Finish paint and then I’ve painted a small plastic flower and brushed Classic Treasure Gold over it. To finish I added a metal corner embellishment and also stamped the text, Flora and Fauna, from the Eclectica ELB02 set.
I hope you all have a great Christmas and a Happy New Year !
Sue
