Garden of hopes and dreams !

Hello, it's Sue here today sharing a journal page using lots of new PaperArtsy goodies !

I started by covering a piece of Smoothy Heavy card with a piece of paper from the new PaperArtsy Chatsworth collection. I gave it a coat of Glue 'n' Seal so that the paper would be protected from the paint I would be using. I then started to stencil using Snowflake Fresco Finish paint and the new Lin Brown stencil.

I carried on stencilling, this time using another of the new Lin Brown stencils. I prefer to use a stencil brush as there's more control of how much paint I'm using and also where I'm stencilling.

I then added a coat of Tikka and Chartreuse Fresco Finish paints. You can see that the stencilling has resisted the layer of paint.

I then started to stencil again and I've used the new JOFY stencils as well as another Lin Brown stencil. As the paints I was using are translucent I've stencilled first with Snowflake Fresco Finish paint then started to build up the layers of translucent paint, drying in between layers. For the two flowers I've also stamped some text through the stencil.

I used the Tim Holtz Mixed Media stamp set and stamped with Claret Fresco Finish paint.

I die cut the leaves using the Tim Holtz Garden Greens die and I've painted them with a mixture of French Roast and Blood Orange Fresco Finish paint. I then edged the leaves with some Florentine Treasure Gold.

The text is one of the new JOFY mini stamps and I've cut the words up and added the '&' from another of the new JOFY stamp sets. I stamped across the bottom edge with another of the new JOFY mini stamps and added the white dots using a Sharpie white pen.

I hope you've enjoyed today's project !

Sue
