Good morning everyone, Brenda here. This is the last in my Wallflower series of cards and oh boy they have been fun to make and the wallflower papers are a joy to use.
I began by collecting some bits together that I thought would go well on the Wallflower paper background....
..... having chosen the design I wanted to use.
I blended distress inks over the butterflies and then painted rock candy crackle paint over them and left them to dry. When they were I blended walnut stain over them to get the cracks to stand out more.
I adhered the elements in the design I had in my head, including three stamped postmarks cut out ......
..... and the vintage border, flower ephemera, sentiment, flower (from my supplies) and raffia.
I hope you feel inspired to have a go, let me know if you do.
Thanks for joining me today.
hugs Brenda xx
Gorgeous card! I even love the way you photograph the components.
ReplyDeleteStunning card Brenda! Love how those gorgeous butterflies frame that beautiful flower image! Such a good use of it, the whole card just looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteBeeeeeautiful! This is gorgeous Brenda and I love the way you've demonstrated that we CAN actually USE our pretty papers effectively. You've managed to show off this paper brilliantly but used quite a bit of decortion so cleverly so as not to take away from it. Brilliant! Chris xxx
