Vintage Butterfly cabinet card

I came across a piece of mountboard that a large cabinet card had been cut from and decided to use it as a frame for the smaller, Mover & shaper, one. I was unsure with this colour combination when it first came to mind but I'm glad I did it as I find it quite striking...

I cut black card for the mat and some orange patterned paper which I edged lightly with Vintage photo DI. Next I cut the smaller cabinet card from another piece of mountboard, painted it with Wild honey DP then edged it with black DI when dry:

The beautiful arched botanical stamp is from Tim's Fairytale Frenzy collection (CMS058) used with black archival ink. The decorative strip was cut using Tim's Vintage lace Decorative strip die and then painted with black DP:

The mountboard outer was painted with the same Wild honey DP then stamped in sections using the archival ink with the large text stamp from Tim's Papillon stamp set (CMS106). I added a simple piece of actual white lace for contrast in the layering up;

The butterfly stamp is also from 'Papillon', stamped with Wild honey DI then edged in black:

I added the leaves from Tim's Tattered pinecone die and a random paper flower that was in my treasure box:

The mountboard outer was attached with vintage copper brads - top:
