Hi Everyone, Brenda here with a 'show and tell' of the workshop we held yesterday at Country View Crafts. It was a beautifully hot day and the weathered beach huts seemed the perfect theme. We had a group of lovely ladies attend and take the plunge (pun intended lol) with a brand new technique I had devised, you may well have seen it advertised here and on Face book.
The front .......
.... and the back.
The kit is a chipboard pack and we also provided some chipboard marine/beach pieces for embellishing the back with and of course we had fun creating the very weathered wooden doors with the new technique. We even added some faux rusty nails and a latch (see above) to give it more authenticity and realism.
Because we have moved to CVC for our workshops I also made Susan one for her office cum workroom but in different colours.
So here are some of the photos from the day.
Through the technique stages .......
..... the cakes to keep everyone going .....
..... the listening whilst working at the same time ......
.... the demoing and explaining ......
..... the quiet times where everyone is totally absorbed ......
...... the focus and attention to detail .....
.... the getting there time .....
.... the 'what was that we needed to do next?' question .......
....... the 'nearly there' feelings.
I just love these finished projects.
My thanks to Susan for hosting and to all the lovely participants, it was a wonderful day.
Until the next one in September.
hugs Brenda xxx
