Sorry everyone, I was supposed to blog earlier today, but we had such a busy weekend clearing the decorations away and giving the house a clean, I totally forgot. But I am here now with quite a simple tag where I have created my own masks to layer up a selection of stamps.
This is the finished tag without any additional embellishments. can you see the layers I have created?
I started by using distress inks and the wrinkle free technique to create a lightly distressed background.
I started by stamping just the ladies face and clock face on the tag and then stamping them again on card and cut them out. I laid them over the tag so that I could then stamp the other images to create my design. I used four different Stampers Anonymous sets of stamps plus one other (which isn't available from the shop, but it is a text stamp so any stamp you have with writing on would do).
By masking off the two images they are now very prominent and the other stamps look as though they are in the background.
To finish off I dyed some ribbon with distress stains and tied at the top.
Thanks for joining me today.

Don't you think that the simple one layer tags can at times be the most difficult? She is a beauty and so is this tag! Love all the one layered details! I needed the reminder that I have one to share using AO stamps, so later! Hope you have everything in order now! I on the other hand, still have some Christmas stuff out, but we know that is how I operate these days! Big Hugs!
ReplyDeleteLovely layering - great stamps, great colours... who could ask for anything more?!
