Wreath & sleigh card…

Tim certainly released some fabulous Christmas designs this year and I’m having lots of fun creating cards in traditional colours…

The gorgeous wreath stamp (that accompanies the Framelits wreath dies) has been stamped three times in DI (Peeled paint, Shabby shutters and Festive berries). The darkest green has been used for the base with the lighter and the red to decoupage so each part has been cut out using the dies. All of the individual parts have been edged in brown DI (Vintage photo) before being layered up using foam pads. Once done, the berries were all highlighted using Glossy accents.

I’ve used an 8” x 8” card blank so I cut a white card square slightly smaller and edged it with Peeled paint DI using a blending tool. Once dry, it was given a further, light treatment, with Vintage photo – this forms the mat. For the main background, I found this lovely striped 12” x 12” paper in my stack (no idea whose it is) which lends itself well to my colour scheme. I tore a square and edged it in brown with a blending tool. The last layer is a strip of music paper from an old score, also edged.

The sleigh has been cut from white card using Tim’s beautiful sleigh ride die. It’s been cut twice, the runners being cut away from the sleigh and inked in red for the top. The bottom die cut has had White fire Treasure Gold rubbed on the runners to give that metallic effect. For the embellishments I’ve chosen a festive Flashcard, inked with Peeled paint DI and edged in brown, together with a bow made from American seam binding, inked of course.
