Happy (JOFY) hollyhocks…

Jo Firth-Young is a fabulous designer and her latest stamp sets certainly live up to her reputation. This effective birthday card is simple to make using her Collection 26 stamps…

I recently attended a PaperArtsy workshop which has completely renewed my love of brayering. Creating a background using these Fresco paints was easy:

This is the brayered background from which I cut a section to mount on a DL card blank:

I used a fine nail art brush to paint in the 'happy' sentiment:JOFYhbHollyhocks05

Having stamped the hollyhocks I used a marker to colour the stem and then painted the colour and shading of the flowers with Fresco paints:

The 'birthday' was stamped in after the flowers because of gauging placement:

As the hollyhocks stem finishes as it is, I simply drew in the 'ground' with a fine line marker:

A quick and simple card which has been given already. >:o)

Thanks for stopping by today, have a happy Monday!
