With Halloween approaching some of us will be seizing the opportunity to have a party of one kind or another so how about a card that can be used for an invitation?
The card is an 8" x 8" blank so I took an appropriately sized piece of white card and started by adding scraps of orn tissue wrap. Then came the inking up with Dylusions blue inks, mopping off the excess with kitchen roll. It was edged with black DI when dry:
A sheet of silver tone craft metal was run through the Big Shot using this tyre tread embossing folder. The colour has been created by using alcohol inks with the Snow cap mixative. Some of the ink has been sanded off with a sanding block before dropping black ink (re-inker) over it with a pipette:
The background has been layered up onto the card blank and a strip of washii tape added top right:
A strip of card has been painted with ink, stamped with the word 'Midnight' and then mounted onto a mat of black card:
Various die cuts were created on mountboard (primitive star) and card (owl). A tiny moon was made by cutting a circle of card and then punching a circle into it. All were coloured (direct to paper technique) with Spiced marmalade DI and edged in black. The little squares are debris from a picture wheel cut from mountboard.) A Picture wheel die cut was made from canvas textured black card:
The star has been partially glittered:
I cut a square of black textured card and used the Cityscape on the edge die on the top. The metal craft sheet has been backed with double-sided sticky paper and attached to the blak card. A silver strip has been cut from an off-cut and patterned with a metalcraft pattern wheel:
