Quick and Easy Gift Tags

Well, Christmas is firmly upon my family! We have been to see our annual Panto (love a good panto!) and most of our presents have been bought. Christmas cards have been written and sent and the turkey ordered! We’ll decorate the house this weekend and then we can sit back and enjoy the festivities to come! That said there’s still wrapping to be done and I have lots of presents to wrap and gift tags to attach! I thought I’d make some quick and easy gift tags this year as I need so many!
I started by spraying small tags with Dylusions spray (I used red but you could choose a colour to make your paper!) and then, whilst wet, swished a baby wipe over the top so that you get full coverage – the colour will really ‘pop’ as the spray is so vibrant! The photo shows them before I dried them - they will become flat when they dry! If you would like to make them a little more vintage you could then mist them with water and wait for them to dry!
I die cut these fabulous parcels from grungepaper. I save the ‘negative’ bits of grungepaper and use them for smaller die cuts later! I bet you do the same too! Then, with some Cut and Dry foam I lightly tapped paint on them – you really don’t need much. I made sure the bows on the top of the presents weren’t covered and then dabbed them with white paint to match the ribbons. I can see that these parcels will feature a lot on every birthday card I make next year! I very lightly sanded the edges of the parcels and added a little Distress Ink. Then all that was left was to construct them and add a sentiment!
All in all, six took me about 10 minutes – quick and effective! Now I need to make about another 40!!!
